PODIUM WATERPROOFING
PODIUM ROOF /TERRACE GARDENRN WATERPROOFING:
Podium works as structral floor as well as parking floor which transfer loads from above ground level to below ground level walls and columns. Most of the high rise structure design the Podium for drive way, parking floors, landscaped gardens.
Product : FOSROC Nitoproof 600 Standard
Nitoproof 600 Standard single component pitch modified polyurethane cures by reaction with atmospheric moisture to give a tough elastomeric waterproof membrane. It is supplied in a single grade to meet all site application methods and requirements. Nitoproof 600 Standard is a medium viscosity grade for roller, squeegee or spray application to horizontal and vertical surfaces.
Application:
- Surface preparation-prepare the surface from free of laitance, dust.
- Coving/Angle fillet: prepare the coving/angle fillet with polymer modified mortar( ad mixed with Fosroc Nitobond SBR Latex), pack the pipe penetrations with same mortar.
Priming- This should be done using 1:1 mixture of Nitoproof 600 Standard & Nitoflor Sol.
- Nitoproof 600 Standard should be applied by brush, trowel, squeegee or airless spray (two coat application for standard grade on vertical surfaces) at a minimum wet film thickness of 1.3mm (1.3litre/m2) in two coats.
- Protect the above waterproof coating with 150 GSM geotextile cloth on entire surface horizontal and vertical spans.
- Screed/soil placed as per requirement.
Note: For Landscaping: placeed PVC cell board over the waterproof coating, placed 150 GSM geotextile cloth over the PVC Cell board, filling of soil till the defined level, finally placed landacaping (plants , grass etc).
